USERS
Library access is allowed to all the scholars, external users have to show an identification card.
LOAN SERVICE
The loan is allowed to the members of Mechanics department and to the others departments and Politecnico Institutes whose library have similar rules, senior year students coming from the Didactic Secretary of the South Area (SDIAS), Torino Politecnico's libraries, persons who show a suitable application form and a valid identity card, the external libraries by request of the head librarian, written on their headed paper.
Persons allowed to the loan service must accept the department rules.
All the books, except a specified list of ancient and rares volumes, the serials, dictionaries and manuals frequently consulted, degree theses, can be loaned.
HOLDINGS
Monographs, serials, theses, cd-rom concerning the own cultural area. There is also the chance to consult the department publications and the AGARD Reports.

In 1983 the holdings of the Libraries of the Applied Mechanics, Machines, Motorization, Building of Machines Institutes joined here. The library has got also a consulting archive for theses and another for the department publications.
